Embrace the Journey, treasure the Memory Forever
Celebrate the beauty of motherhood with an elegantly handcrafted ceramic bowl, cast from your pregnancy bump.
A one-of-a-kind keepsake that is unique to you.
Each bowl is a bespoke work of art - created by you, crafted by us.
How does it work? The process explained:
You will receive a moulding kit to create a plaster cast of your pregnancy bump. This process is quick, easy, and safe, and takes about 15 minutes to complete in the comfort of your own home.
Your completed cast is then sent back to us and we use it as a template to create your belly mould as a beautiful ceramic bowl - meticulously finished, glazed and fired to the highest professional standard.
This is different from other products that only allow you to make a plaster cast of your pregnancy - a ceramic bowl is a beautiful quality piece of functional art that will display elegantly in your home.
Create a Lasting Memory with a Baby Belly Bowl

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this safe?
The process of making the mould is very quick and easy: no standing or sitting around uncomfortably for prolonged periods, and you can do this in the comfort of your own home. The cast for your Belly Bowl takes just 15 minutes to set to hardness.
The plaster bandages are simply placed on top of your skin, not stretched over, and thus there is no constriction or discomfort of any kind. At the same time the belly casting lubricant will ensure the plaster doesn't stick to any skin or body hair to prevent any pulling.
All materials, such as the plaster bandages and lubricant, are non-toxic and medical-grade quality.
When should I do this?
We recommend making your cast at around 36 weeks in order for your bowl to be a good size, before your belly drops, and also to ensure that you don't lose out on this opportunity just in case your baby makes an early arrival!
Will this really be an accurate copy of my pregnancy bump?
Your Belly Bowl has been made from an imprint of your body, an organic creation process that will mark each bowl with nuances that will add an unparalleled uniqueness and character to each creation.
We believe that these nuances and imperfections tell a story – your story – making every Belly Bowl a singular masterpiece that celebrates the artistry and individuality of handcrafted design.
This is the essence of Wabi-Sabi, the Japanese ethos of finding beauty in imperfections.
What is in the box?
During the first step of your order you will receive a large padded box (big enough to contain the completed plaster cast) as well as the plaster moulding kit, which includes:
- rolls of medical grade Plaster of Paris (PoP) bandages, enough to cover your belly,
- belly casting lubricant to ensure the plaster doesn't stick to any skin or body hair,
- a plastic drop cloth to protect your floor from spills during the casting process,
- non-latex gloves,
- and a sanding pad to remove any sharp edges from the cast,
- a full set of instructions.
The second step of your order is when we receive the completed plaster cast back, craft the bowl, and finish it to your specifications, and then send the completed bowl back to you, along with a wooden foot ring to display your bowl proudly in your home!
How long will it take for my bowl to be completed, and what if I need it for a certain date?
Once we receive your cast back it will take about 5 weeks to craft and complete your bowl.
If you need your completed bowl by a specific date we suggest that you keep this 5-week turnaround time in mind and plan accordingly.
We want to spoil a pregnant friend of ours, do you have gift vouchers?
Absolutely! See the Gift Card option on our ‘Order’ page or click here.
Any additional fees can be settled by the gift card recipient should they exceed the voucher total.
What if I change my mind on the colour or other options I have chosen for my bowl?
Changing options will depend on how far we are in the crafting process and we cannot promise you that we can make all necessary changes. We strongly recommend that you reach out to us as soon as possible and we can discuss any changes and their viability.
What if I want more than one bowl from my belly cast?
We can use the same cast to make multiple Belly Bowls at an additional cost.
Send us an email with your request and we will advise accordingly.
We had trouble during the moulding and casting process and my cast is misshapen - can I still send it?
If your moulding process didn't go smoothly and you're unsure of the completed cast you can reach out to us as soon as possible to send us some pictures for assessment and we can discuss some options for replacement of the moulding kit or repair of the existing cast.
Make sure your cast dries naturally in a well ventilated space so that it sets properly.
What if my cast or bowl breaks during shipping?
This is unlikely as we supply you with a well-padded box to ensure the safety of the items.
If the cast does get damaged in transit it can likely still be used and we will repair and reinforce it before starting the bowl-making process.
If your bowl is damaged in some way you can reach out to us as soon as possible to send us some pictures for assessment and we can discuss some options for replacement or repair.
I have an existing cast. Can you use it to make a Belly Bowl?
This is usually not a problem but we'll be able to confirm if you can reach out to us to send us pictures of your existing cast. This is especially useful for previous pregnancies.
What if my bowl gets damaged after I've received it?
Hey, we get it, Life happens!
Your Baby Belly Bowl is made of ceramic material and, just like any other ceramic items that you buy from the store, it must be handled with care.
If your bowl suffers any impacts, knocks, or drops, it can cause chipping, cracking, or breakage. Improper cleaning and maintenance can also result in scratches on the surface or damage to the gilding (if applicable). For a full guide on caring for your Baby Belly Bowl please follow this link.
If we still have your plaster cast on file we will be able to make a replacement bowl at the same price as the original.
